Each week starting in spring, mentees and students receive one on one sessions devoted exclusively in supporting career growth, nutritional health and mental wellbeing, ecology studies and spiritual guidance, ancestral wisdom.

The American Botanical Council, with visits and classes at The Hays Community Garden, Lockhart State Park and Austin Food Forest

In the past , students have learned a myriad of skills through our program, in many rotations these seasonal core studies are often chosen as mentorship opportunities: Outdoor Education, Community Herbalism, Garden Education, Holistic Health Aid Training & 1st Aid Field Training, Community & Children’s Education and Curriculum Writing, Botany, Foraging & Mycology , Nutrition, Health Science

Who can apply to be a member:

Anyone can purchase a Level 1 Herbalism Course however only Students & Interns must be currently enrolled in a partnering program or school or have completed our Level 1 Community Herbalist Program in order to advance to our Mentorship Program.

This program was designed to advance individuals in their chosen green career paths enriching outdoor leadership within the natural world.
