Our internship program is designed to mentor students who are dedicated in pursuing green job futures with the training, knowledge and experience to develop their own careers. Classes are facilitated by community educators and volunteer accredited professionals.

Internship Roles : Spring & Fall Rotation

Internship 1 Historian & Librarian Coordinator
Internship 1 This Role will aid our RTF Club, Radio Television and Film Club by presenting ideas and opportunities for our national & international students including co-creating seasonal online classes, podcasts, film and music programs while learning from our mentors and educators. This role will also be part of our education planning team. This is a Level 1 internship, ideal candidate would be an already experienced social media marketing specialist.

Internship 2 Community Coordinator
Internship 2 This Role will aid our HerbalActionProject Club by co-organizing our seasonal events including holistic based plant walks, family activities, private garden meetings, wellness markets, herbal community clinics, outreach events, closed partnered events, school programs and community funded large events. This internship is a level 2 mentoring program where you will be invited to be part of a diverse workforce of community leaders and program administrators. This position will also be part of our education planning team and student development community circle.
Austin Food Forest Fall 2024 Plant Walk
Internship 3 Co-Educator Coordinator
Internship 3 This Role will aid our weekly Botanical Garden, Culinary and Book Clubs by co-organizing our monthly community classes, school programs and children’s workshops including plant walks and our outdoor book reading circles.This is an intermediate level student engagement role in which you will co-support new members and youth groups. This is a high energy role suited for new teachers and homeschool educators. This internship is a level 2 mentoring program where you will be invited to be part of a diverse workforce of community leaders and students. This position will also be part of our outdoor education planning team.

These internship roles are highly important as they provide approval of new community projects, programs and events.
